The Beede name in America can be traced back to Eli Bede, thought to be born around 1699 on the Isle of Jersey in the Channel Islands off the west coast of France. However, no evidence of his birth there, or anywhere else, has been found so far. Hopefully this project, if successful, will give us some much needed clues. |

to the Beede Surname DNA Project Web Site. The purpose of this project is to
determine possible relationships between the various Beede lines around the
world. By using a simple DNA test we hope to find out which Beedes, Bedes,
Bedees, Beadys and Beedys have a common ancestor. We may also be able to help
place a Beede of "unknown" ancestry into one of the Beede lines that we have
